Refunds & Billing

Last updated 9 August 2026. How charging works, and when we give money back.

How a task is charged

Every task is priced from the work it performs. Before a substantial task starts you see an estimated range and a per-task ceiling. While it runs you see the amount spent so far. When it finishes you see the total, and the ledger on your billing page records it permanently.

  • A task never bills above its ceiling. It stops instead, and you keep whatever it produced up to that point.
  • A task that fails part-way is charged only for the steps that completed.
  • A task that cannot start — insufficient credit, plan limit, daily cap — is not charged at all.
  • Your balance can never go below zero.

Top-ups

Every plan can buy additional credit at any time, including Free and Pay as you go. Purchased credit does not expire while your account is open and is spent at your plan's rates. Included monthly credit is separate: it is granted for that month and does not roll over.

Subscriptions

Subscription plans bill monthly in advance and renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access and any remaining credit until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.

Refunds

  • Something went wrong on our side. If a task was charged incorrectly, double-charged, or failed because of a fault in Cadive, tell us and we will refund that charge. This is the case we say yes to without argument.
  • Unused purchased credit. Refundable within 14 days of purchase, less any credit already spent.
  • A subscription you have not used. If you have run no tasks in the current period, we will refund that period within 14 days of it starting.
  • Output you did not like. Not refundable on its own. The work ran and cost us money to run. If the result was wrong because Cadive malfunctioned, that is the first case above.

Nothing here removes rights you have under Uruguayan consumer law (Ley N.º 17.250) or the mandatory consumer law where you live.

Disputes and chargebacks

Please write to legal@cadive.net before raising a chargeback — the ledger on your billing page shows every charge, and most disputes are settled in a message. Accounts with an open chargeback may be suspended until it resolves.

Taxes

Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. You are responsible for any tax that applies where you are. Where Uruguayan law requires us to collect tax, it will be shown before you pay.
